BMX Estate
'BMX Estate' is an illustration based on an original medium format film photograph I took in Anglia Square, Norwich on a Yashica Mat 124g twin lens reflex camera in 2012.
At the time of making the photograph on black and white film I remember thinking that there was something of the cinematic to the lone bmx rider practicing tricks and skills and the composition between the high rise car park and disused buildings heightened that.
It was one of my first film photographs that I developed and printed myself and that camera is the only one I ever kept. But more than just the nostalgia of that, this photograph has stayed in my memory for all those years and now will continue to live on in a new way now I have brought it to life in colour.
