Sketching from Marcella

Been watching the 9pm drama Marcella and we are equal parts intrigued and irritated by it. Maybe it's just a bit too convoluted sometimes, feels like its just trying to be a bit too clever.

What TV dramas do more and more share though are the cinematic productions values. Marcella is no exception. Some beautiful cinematography throughout. Took some time stamps as we watched from record last night and sat down today for an hour to do a couple of sketches.

Clearly the likeness is out but happy enough with it for a single sketch.

The likeness to the character Frank is way off but overall composition not awful.

Never used grids before but did sketch some lightly before starting. Sq format Amanda Burton was sectioned into thirds, the second image into quarters.
